Chairman House's RECAP of October's State Central Committee Meeting
On behalf of the CRC Officers and staff, we'd like to thank our Committee Chairmen (Joy Hoffman on Teller, Isaiah Hess on Credentials, Mark Baisley on Bylaws, and Kay Rendleman on Rules), all of the committee members, and volunteers for their incredible effort putting on a great meeting, and to Chairman George Rivera and the Pueblo GOP team for being gracious hosts.
For those of you unable to join us, please review the following results.
1. Caucus will be March 1, 2016, at 7pm and elected delegates will be unbound, unless they individually choose to bind themselves to a specific candidate. There will not be a straw poll at caucus, or State Assembly. Counties are strongly discouraged from holding their own polls on the night of caucus to prevent any potential challenges on the definition of "statewide Presidential preference poll."
2. Delegates will be allocated at 1 delegate per 250 votes for Bob Beauprez (rounded to the nearest whole delegate), plus 3 additional delegates. If you're planning on having your officers run at large and/or allocating your three additional spots anybody to OTHER than your Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman (if there's more than one), and Secretary, please let us know ASAP and no later than 1/1/16. NOTE: Elbert County has been apportioned 39 delegates. (distribution will be discussed at the County Central Committee Meeting in November)
3. Three bylaws amendments were passed. They are in the linked document highlighted in yellow. The others failed, or were referred back to the Bylaws committee.
4. The State Assembly will be on April 9, 2016, at Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. Congressional districts and multi-county assemblies who request CRC's assistance will be held on April 8, 2016. Districts planning their own meetings will announce them separately- more on this as it's finalized.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks for all you do.
