Elbert County Republican Women Essay Contest & Awards Dinner

This year’s Essay topic for Middle School and High School is:

In many ways, We are a nation divided. An example of this divide is our different view on how we elect Our President. Currently we elect the President through an Electoral College. A proposed alternative is through a national popular vote. Choose one of these methods and justify your position.

Consider the ideas expressed in the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, and/or writings of our founding fathers to support your answer.

The deadline for submitting your essay is FRIDAY, March 27th, 2020. A representative of the Elbert County Republican Women will pick up essays from your school on that day. You may also email your essay to Teri Guthrie at: EssayContest@ElbertCountyRepublicanWomen.com NO LATER than March 27, 2020. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
